February 9 2013: AEI release the UK’s first trap compilation
Once a well-worn term of cockney rhyming slang, now a by-word for the freshest chapter in electronic music, trap comprises all that’s great about the myriad flavours of bass available today. With a pinch of booty bass, a splash of Baltimore, a whole bucket of hip-hop attitude and a respectful nod to dubstep, the trap scene has exploded over the last 18 months and taken clubs on both sides of the Atlantic by storm.
With over 68,000 subscribers, YouTube channel All Trap Music is leading from the front, and AEI Media have partnered with them to create the world’s
very first trap compilation: All Trap Music. Not only does it paint the broadest picture of the new scene to date, but also consolidates the leading players in a one-stop-shop for both dedicated trap fans and newcomers alike.
Just one day after the release and it’s already enjoying some great success, including a number three spot on the US
